Salves & Tinctures
Salves are herb-infused oils combined with pure beeswax to create a lotion-like consistency. Salves will keep best when stored in a cool place out of direct sunlight. If they soften, they can be brought back to firm consistency by refrigerating for half an hour. Our salves are made with the finest ingredients, including herbs grown in our own gardens and pure essential oils valued for their therapeutic properties. Our herbs are solar-infused in pure olive oil, which is believed to be the best oil for extracting the healing properties of herbs. All our tinctures (herbal extracts) are made with organically grown or ethically wild-harvested herbs. To make our potent herbal tinctures we steep the herbs for a minimum of 6 weeks in a mixture of food grade alcohol and/or water to extract both alcohol and water soluble properties. Our tinctures come in a 2 oz (60 ml) amber glass jar with black lid & dropper.
