In recent years there has been wide-spread information about the mysterious disappearance of honeybees. Honeybees, and the general insect group of bees (of which there are 20,000 species), are responsible for pollination of about 30% of our food crops. The issues facing bees, as well as other native pollinators, are caused in part by lack of plants for food and lack of nesting habitat. These are issues that we all can help with.
