Herbs - Calendula
Herbs - Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
About: Calendula is such a wonderful herb to grow - the vibrant sunny orange blooms are long lasting from early summer until after frost (they bloom continuously if picked before going to seed). Bees and other pollinators love these blooms and although it is an annual, the plant will readily self-seed in your garden for next year. Used medicinally for first-aid remedies like healing cuts, scrapes, and sunburn, as well as all manner of skin conditions when made into a tea, oil or salve (to soothe dry skin, eczema, inflammation). The flowers are edible and lovely added to your summer salads.
Comes in a compostable pot, hardened off and ready to plant. Grown with organic seed and organic soil.
LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY at Little City Farm- seedlings will be available Sat, May 25 or otherwise by appointment.
