St Johns Wort (Hypericum perforatum)

About:

A hardy perennial that produces the most gorgeous yellow flowers. Pick the flowers as the buds just open, to use in making infused oil. Will attract bees and other pollinators with it's flowers.

Sun/Soil

Will tolerate most conditions, but prefers well-drained soil with full sun to part shade.

Culinary Uses

St Johns Wort is not usually used as a culinary plant.

Medicinal Uses

St Johns Wort tea (made with leaves and flowers) has a long history of being used for anxiety, the "blues", insomnia, and calming nervousness. The flowers and leaves are used infused in oil, for healing minor cuts, burns, and bruises.

Organically grown, with certified organic seeds and organic soil. Comes in a compostable pot.

Curbside pick-up at Little City Farm. We will email you with pick-up dates.
